Hometown Holiday and Light Parade 2007

About the Holiday Light Parade

The 3rd Annual Holiday Light Parade will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 6:00 p.m., and have the town glowing with the spirit of the season. Carolers will be performing throughout downtown from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. Shortly before 6:00 p.m., glowing luminaries will be placed along Main St. by the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and the South Main Street homeowners.

The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. at Main St. and Old US 12 and continues toward downtown to the Clocktower Complex. Local groups and businesses -- and Santa! -- will participate in the parade in festively decorated floats and vehicles.

The parade concludes at the Clocktower Complex with a Parade Party featuring the Youth Dance Theater's preview of their Nutcracker ballet performance, a community sing-along and gingerbread house display.

Entertainment

Please join the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, McKinley Inc., and The Chelsea Teddy Bear Co. after the parade for refreshments and entertainment. The Parade Party takes place at the Clocktower from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and features a preview of the "Nutcracker" ballet performance by the Youth Dance Theatre, a community sing-a-long led by Counterpoint and a fun "Great Bear Cub Run".
